Where Everything Seems So Pretty

        Looking for another chance
for someone else to be
Looking for another place
to ride into the sun

Ride into the sun
ride into the sun
Ride into the sun
ride into the sun
Where -

- everything seems so pretty
but if you're tired and you're sick of the city
Remember that it's just a flower
made out of clay

where everything seems so dirty
but if you're tired and you're filled with self-pity
Remember that you're just one more
person who's there

It's hard to live in the city
It's hard to live in the city,
It's hard to live in the city,
It's hard to live in the city

Hi Kevin -
I listen to your singing every day. Thanks SO much. Still, I have "I'll Be Your Mirror" book marked - none so far have moved me like that one. Not to say I don't enjoy/appreciate them all, just that one reached places, well, I didn't think were reachable by any means other than my own intentional pursuit. So it was quite a surprise...both wonderful and frightening at the same time. Kind of like an unexpected realization that one's secrets are universal.

Who knows what connects, really?

I, the artist have my own favorites, and sometimes they're the ones appreciated by other people and sometimes I'm the only one who enjoys them tremendously. Often what I think will get a lot of praise doesn't get much at all and stuff like "I'll Be Your Mirror", which I consider one of my lesser covers, resonates powerfully with someone, namely you.

But that's part of the power of music. We all have our favorites but so often few of us hold the same favorites close to our hearts. Perhaps this is how it should be.
