Saturday Video
which asks the age old musical question: What kind of fuckery is this?
I love this whole album (I know, me and everyone else in the world), especially Tears Dry On Their Own. I hope that she gets her ass to a recording studio while she is in St. Lucia; it's time for a follow-up already. Have you ever heard her first album, Frank? It isn't as immediate as BTB but is charming in its own right. I was briefly obsessed with a video of hers called "F Me Pumps" that I watched a bazillion times on YouTube...
Definitely a favorite CD. Me and Mr. Jones is one of Garbo's favorite songs. There's nothing quite like hearing your nine year old singing "What kind of fuckery is this?" from the backseat of the car.
"I am not a Labor Leader; I do not want you to follow me or anyone else; if you are looking for a Moses to lead you out of this capitalist wilderness, you will stay right where you are.
I would not lead you into the promised land if I could, because if I lead you in, some one else would lead you out.
You must use your heads as well as your hands, and get yourself out of your present condition."
