ReplyDeleteI have something in me that so needs to be gender bending, to be both to be neither. I don't feel I have much outlet for that, but this two-party gender identity system fails as much as this two-party political system in my bi-book.
I briefly dated a woman to male transgender, though at the time he identified as a woman exclusively. First he came out as a lesbian, then he underwent top surgery.
ReplyDeleteLike you, there's a part of me who needs to be gender bending and who has never felt comfortable in either camp, but somehow manages to walk a tightrope that is never satisfying, but the best compromise I've ever managed.
